Can't remember there being a specific thread for this sort of thing. So who've you spotted in the audience at the theatre? Have you sat directly next to anyone famous?

Off the top of my head:
Lenny Henry at Hairspray
Brian Paddick at a cabaret table in La Cage
John Hurt and Kilroy at His Girl Friday (NT) - they weren't together!
Tom Stoppard at ...some trace of her (NT)
James Corden at House of Bernada Alba (NT)
Anne Marie Duff watching James McAvoy in Three Days of Rain
Simon Amstell at Some Girls (watching friend Catherine Tate)
Charles Dance watching Piaf
Michael Billington watching and reviewing Entertaining Mr Sloane

I can only remember two. Neil Pearson watching A Little Night Music at the National and Kim Medcalfe watching Rain Man (although I only noticed her on leaving).

Alan Rickman at Hamlet a few months ago. He was just a few seats along from me, in the next row forward: perfect view! smile.gif

I think I started a thread like this ages ago but don't know where it is now!
Saw Geraldine McKewan in the foyer of the Rickman/Duncan Private Lives also Cherie Lunghi in the audience.
Jonathan Pryce in the bar in the interval of the Kristin Scott-Thomas The Seagull at The Royal Court.
Jenny Eclair at The Dumb Waiter
Zillions of people I couldn't quite put a name to at the time at the Pinter tribute at The National in June but did include Charles Dance, Tom Stoppard, Tim Pigot-Smith, Alan Yentob.
