I just think I witnessed tonight the worst performance I have seen in the role of Mama Morton from Sue Kelvin since the show started 10 years ago, I know she played the role before but I do not remember her being this bad. Come back Brenda Edwards please!!!!

I find that surprising. I saw her play the role when Chita Rivera was in it and thought she was very good - great voice. Also saw her do her show about Sophie Tucker and that was a real poerhouse performance. And of course the role of Mama is based somewhat on Sophie Tucker.

Shame the wonderful Zee Asha's in Mary Poppins for the foreseeable; she was a splendid Mama!
