Basically, to put this plain and simply, I have an audition coming up and I don't have professional headshots. I have a couple a friend took, and merely photoshopped for one of his uni projects but it is by no means a professional headshot. Will this be a problem and thus, hinder my chances? I only ask as there is no other way of getting shots before audition day.

Are you auditioning for a professional production? Is this an open call? Or an amateur audition? For anything professional you will not proper 8 by 10 professional shots and nothing else will do really. If you want to be a professional - invest in decent photos.

Professional, open call. Heard about it through a friend.

Hello littlelottie, think I know the audition your taking about - good call. Experience will be amazing if nothing else. It just says bring a photograph. It does not specify "Headshot". Obviously bringing a headshot is a good move but as this is an open call, a photograph thats shows who you are is prob all that is necessary. If you get in, then consider a better photo... or even if you don't get in, get some headshots done. There always good to have smile.gif

I have directed and cast many professional shows and in my personal opinion, I would prefer to see a black and white 10 x 8 headshot. I'm probably too late in response to this post, however, I feel I should mention this for future reference.
