I went to see Wicked yesterday at the matinee performance and had Sarah as Glinda, which I must admit was dissapointed about as I like Dianne in the role! But she was amazing, her voice as well as acting ability was brilliant.

All I can say is that she deserves a full time lead in a show as it is such a shame that she is only the stand-by and deserves a lot more!!

I saw Sarah perform on Thursday (17th), and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed her performance. To me at least, she did seem to have a slow start, but I do definitely hope she gets the full-time role come May. She has been the standby for two years I believe, so either deserves to have the big break or for her to move on to another show and gain a lead role.

I watched 'Wicked' last night in London Victoria last night and it was an excellent show. I thought the connection between Elphaba (Sarah Ellis) and Glinda (Sarah Earnshaw) was electrifying. Excellent performance by all the cast.

Definately not a show to miss with the current cast.

I think you probably mean Kerry Ellis as there is no Sarah Ellis in the current cast,

The only Sarah Ellis I know of is Sarah French-Ellis but she's not with wicked...

WOW!!

I saw her today because Dianne was on holiday, and I'm FLOORED! The British director seems to force his Glindas to speak and act with the most annoying accent and extra squeaky intonation, and nobody makes it more annoying than Dianne does. Somehow, in some way that I can't even begin to comprehend, Sarah Earnshaw managed to make it not just not annoying, but endearing and utterly AWESOME!

Her facial expressions were priceless, her vocals were stellar, her acting was amazing. I have to say she is probably my favourite Glinda (including Kristin, JLT, Kendra, Annaleigh etc).

Umm...I hate to break it to you, but that's actually Sarah's real voice!

And yes, she is utterly awesome. Best Glinda around in my opinion :-). Glad you liked her!

Why is that a bad thing? I loved her. What I was referring to were a lot of British-Glinda-isms that Dianne does that Sarah also does as part of the role. Difference being that Dianne is intolerably annoying.
