Saw this play a few days ago and wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Was really captivated by it - the lead actor (well the only actor!) was amazing. I read it is transferring to the Young Vic so hope it does well there too.

I have seen this too. It's an incredible performance. I can't imagine being at close range to the whole audience and having to act towards them for over 2 hours single-handedly. The stories were told so vividly weren't they? It was basically a man on a chair, yet I felt like I travelled with him through his childhood. Highly recommended!

I felt that too, could really picture everything he was saying. I wondered how do you go about learning something like this? Surely no one has that good a memory!

I can't believe he's still performing this. It was such a magnificent performance I saw all those months ago. Such talent and guts to sit there all that time with everyone focussing on one face the whole time.
