Tip - try to catch this good new play on in Edinburgh from 11-23 August at 3pm at The Space @ the Thistle (V36). I saw its London preview at the Arcola on Saturday and it is a clever take on the Hansel and Gretel story combined with a Mexican folk story - La Llorona - about a betrayed woman who kills her children. Very dark and definitely not for kiddies or the faint-hearted!

Saw this show at The Arcola and thought it was fantastic. Very dark but the actors are all very good and the script is amazing. I plan to see it again in Edinburgh.

Totally agree. Quite something. Could well be the most exciting use of English-language verse-drama since the big S! Real poetry not pantomine couplets! Everthing from LOL to deeply disturbing in just under an hour! Acting and directing great too. With a Drama Centre pedigree these folk are the real things - not some no-hope wanabees. Occasionally over-intense emoting - but oh so promising. Cathch it in Edinburgh this week or next - or miss out on the future of our great theatre tradition.
