Just thought I'd praise the awesome Mary Poppins at the Hippodrome!

i went to see the show on Saturday night and had a really enjoyable night. The set was absolutely fantastic and if that was a watered down version of the West End set then all I can say is that the West End set must have been tremendous.

Caroline Sheen as Mary Poppins was truly brilliant. She brought the character to life and had a great voice and comic timing to support it.
Loved, Martin Ball as Mr. Banks (although I think I'm slightly biased being a wicked fan!) and the kids were also terrific.

Would also have to highly praise the ensemble who carried off some brilliant choreography.

Having seen both Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, I may say that in my opinion Poppins might be the better show. Toss up between in and the Lion King.

Have to say I was even slightly freaked out by 'temper, temper' which I guess is a good thing (?)!

Just got back from this evenings performance, it is superb. Being a huge fan of the London production, i was worried that it wouldnt translate well on tour but was proved wrong. Caroline is a wonderful Mary and i loved Daniel Crossley as Bert also - both very well cast. Thought the changes were well executed, loved it - will be returning.

I live in the Birmingham area and if I see the advert once more I'll burst a blood vessel. It's been on four times per morning this week so far. wink.gif laugh.gif

Glad to hear all is going well though. smile.gif
