We produce some of the best opera and ballet in the world. Each year our performances entertain millions of people, on stage at Covent Garden, on tour at home and abroad, and through regular radio and television broadcasts. Our Stage Management Team plays a key part in delivering technical excellence at every performance and rehearsal.

We are now looking for a professional, experienced Assistant Stage Manager to join our Stage Management Team, working primarily with us. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with:

* Adequate professional Stage Management experience in theatre and/or Opera and a degree or equivalent qualification in Stage Management

* Good music score reading and prompt book preparation skills

* Outstanding communication skills, able to project confidence, tact and diplomacy

* The ability to work consistently under pressure and remain calm

* Proven project management and documentation capabilities, with proficient Microsoft Office skills

A good understanding of Opera related skills or repertoire is desirable but not essential. Our working practice and our repertoire involves shift work, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as well as annual touring.
