So whats the likelihood of any of the shows being cancelled this afternoon and this evening due to the weather conditions??? Ive got my fingers crossed that they are as Im meant to be seeing Little Voice and Chicago but can't get there as the trains arent running and everything is a little chaotic round my parts, sad day! Anyone else heading to London today to see something?

I'm supposed to be seeing Twelfth Night (it being Twelfth Night an all) so I'm keeping my eye out for announcements.

I doubt any announcements wil be made for an hour or so, considering staff will have just been getting in from 9/10ish. Although I suspect most will prob go ahead as London transports moving, its just if cast live outside London or on overland routes, i suppose. Well unless the snow in London gets worse, which it might as its still snowing in east london.

I'm actually hoping to be able to score some cheap tickets tonight, if people can't get in but shows go on. We only had a light dusting where I live, my train was fine, and although it is snowing here in London now it doesn't seem to be settling.

My parents have tickets to todays matinee of Les Miserables in London. They have called the theatre and there is no cancellation anticipated and no refunds being given to people who cannot make it due to no trains running (my parents have no trains running on their line today and cannot get into London). The theatre said they are bound by contract to perform a show and even if only 25 people turn up, they will still put on a performance.

It does sound slightly unfair, but then again, it is not the theatre nor the production company's fault that the trains arent running. Unfortunately for my parents, they will not be able to get any sort of refund from their credit card company as some of the ticket price was paid for using theatre vouchers that were a gift to my father on his retirement.

Thats a tad harsh, good practise and customer service suggests that they at least offer the option of ticket exchange in situations such as this, they did last time there was crazy snow. Perhaps they can ask if that would be possible?

Yeah but when there was the crazy snow, last february, they cancelled the show, so therefore were obliged to refund/reoffer tickets. That was when Boris in his infinite wisdom decided to shut down London Transport. This time London isnt so bad so there will be more of a chance of cast, crew and theatre staff being able to provide a near full service.

Some shows at Delfont McIntosh theatres including MAMMA MIA!, Jersey Boys, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Les Miserables and Avenue Q allow ticket exchange. Original tickets have to be sent back to the theatres and they will contact you later to arrange the dates. Details at http://www.delfontmackintosh.co.uk/

Yes, so far so good. If we are to believe the weather reports, however, London should be hit the worst in the afternoon (from 3:00 pm onwards). So I guess anything could happen then...
