We are seeking 19 Hotel technicians, 7 Sensatori technicians and 3 Thomson Gold Resort Technicians required to operate live sound and lighting systems for our clients at First Choice HOLIDAY VILLAGE, Thomson GOLD and Sensatori entertainment venues. 6-day week. These posts are for SOUND technicians who can ALSO operate lighting. BOTH skills are required. All posts include free accommodation, one evening meal per day, uniform and free travel to/from resort at beginning/end of season.
WAGES, BENEFITS etc
All wages are PAYE - no freelancers. In addition to the weekly wage, accrued statutory holiday pay is paid at the end of the contract. IN ADDITION, contract-completion bonus is paid to all those who work an entire season.
JOB SUMMARIES
HOTEL TECHNICIAN (19 posts in Thomson GOLD and First Choice HOLIDAY VILLAGE resorts)
You are required to run the sound and lighting presentation at your hotel for all evening entertainment 6 nights per week plus some routine technical maintenance, rehearsal and preparation during the day. Working within the entertainment team, you will be the only technician at your hotel (except Turkey, which has two). 40 hour week.
SENSATORI TECHNICIAN (5 to 7 posts in Crete, Mexico and Tenerife)
Mexico has one technician, whilst Crete and Tenerife have two or three in the team. High-quality and prestigious visiting acts plus excellent in-house production teams and bands. These posts require technicians with excellent technical skills.
RESORT TECHNICIAN (3 posts in Crete, Ibiza and Mallorca)
Resort Technicians work with travelling production teams, touring around their resort and performing in Thomson GOLD hotels. This job requires a high level of ability plus mentoring skills, as you will also be called-upon to train other entertainers in sound and lighting operation. Resort Technicians are required to drive and MUST therefore be a minimum of 21 years old and have held a full EEC Driving licence for a minimum of one year. Each Resort Technician is issued with a hire-car for the season. All costs (except private-use fuel) are reimbursed in cash on resort. Resort Technicians are also provided with a mobile-'phone allowance.
