Another first class Almeida production - great set, acting and direction. Not entirely sure about the play, but it was interesting enough. Clare Higgins give the most superb performance. I don't think I've seen her before, but I'll make a point of seeing whatever she's in in the future (unless it's Greek Tragedy).

This is the second "therapist play" of the year from the Almeida (after Duet for One), and judging by the knowing audience laughter, one must assume that about 10% of Islington residents are therapists. rolleyes.gif

Interesting to hear posts get deleted for spoilers. I thought the convention was to ask the person posting to remove a spoiler if spotted?

It was not a registered member hence my message. I could only ask in public. I would have just taken out the spoiler as I said but pressed wrong button. So I did ask for a repost without the spoiler.....Do please let me know what else I could do, o guest.

I was a convert many years ago. She is, in my opinion, one of our very greatest actors - her performance in Death of a Saleman was heart wrenching and I have never seen her give anything like a bad or indifferent performance.

Better stop raving now but as you may have guessed I rate her.

Couldn't agree more. Her Linda Loman in "Death of a Salesman" was definitive. I came out of the theatre shell-shocked by the power of her performance in a magnificent production. She also gave a sublime award winning performance as Mrs Lawlor in "Vincent in Brixton" and in my opinion she is the best stage actress we have. I try to see anything she is in and can't wait to see her in "Mrs Klein".
