For me, the play took a little while to get going & find its feet but once it did it really soars, tackling tough issues in a bold, compelling & often deeply moving way. Whilst the subject matter is heavy, the play isn't without its humour and the acting throughout is excellent.

Incredibly funny with some superb actingb performances, notably Simon Russell Beale, John Simm, Harry Melling, Indira Varma & John Hefferman who deliver incredibly rich & detailed portrayals of their characters. I'm still struggling with the content of the play but its worth seeing for the performances alone

The brilliant set coupled with the intimate setting of the Donmar makes you feel you are in the pub with these people. The writing is rich with detail, with brilliant lyrical timing & pauses and the acting is top notch from the entire ensemble. I was sitting in the front row a few feet from the actors and it gave me goosebumps. It is brilliant in every way & one of the best things Ive seen in many visits to the Donmar.

I wanted to like it but didn't find it even slightly funny. Maybe it will take time to settle, sitcoms often do but right now it seems like am awful waste of the talents of its cast
