#260798 The Audience, I Just Booked

Posted Zippy on 03 April 2013 - 12:12 AM

Very annoying that! How about they insist on photo ID when purchasing the day seat tickets and then it has to be shown again when actually entering the auditorium (rather than collecting the tickets which seems a waste of time when touts have 20 minutes to give them to people paying outrageous prices)? Would only need to be checked for the 16 day seats.

Do they not realise, everyone nearby is disturbed by the light?

A lot of them don't actually. You're dealing with people who are addicted to their phones and the thought of actually switching it off for an hour is like telling them you're switching off their life support machine. What if someone tweets them and they don't reply immediately? What if they can't update their Facebook? Perhaps people will
think they're dead?!
Also a lot of theatres are very lax in enforcing policies about phones so some people interpret that as it not being an issue. Again, nothing like a quick flash from the torch for nipping it in the bud! ;)

#257837 Kristen Chenoweth Tickets Prices Omg ! You Guys !

Posted Zippy on 09 March 2013 - 01:11 AM

It's the end for Speckulation anyway, who will want anything to do with them after the mess they've made of this? According to Kristin they failed to organise and pay for her flights, hotels and work permits. I assume they agreed to do this in the contract. Shockingly unprofessional, incompetent actually.
Feel sorry for the fans, many of whom have probably made travel arrangements and booked hotels on top of the crazy ticket prices. Sad for Kristin too who I'm sure was looking forward to it very much. What a joke of a production company!

Prices were outrageously high, no wonder why it wasn't selling. I have to laugh at them saying they were sold out. They were selling off the tickets up to today at a massive discount! Not looking too good for them anyway.

At Singin In The Rain, woman in front of us was on her phone throughout, realised later that she was updating her facebook status with a running commentary on the show! The light from her phone was so distracting.

Did you not ask her to turn it off? Or at least report it to a member of staff? People need to become more assertive towards this sort of bad behaviour. If someone is ruining your enjoyment of the show why just sit there and do nothing? I don't get it.

It is very easy to be critical of people. Personally, "I" wouldn't criticise anyone for doing something that I couldn't do myself.

I have said my bit so won't be posting again.

Well thank goodness for that, your comments make no sense at all.

Marti Pellow is 48 and looks a lot older than that. He has not aged well. I'm not sure how old Che is meant to be but I always felt he was meant to be a young revolutionary figure, maybe early 30s. And that's putting aside that he is a terrible actor and mediocre (at best) singer. Dreadful casting decision.

Oh dear God. He really was dreadful in Jekyll and Hyde and very poor in Blood Brothers.

If it's Russell Brand then it's being crossed off my list (well, until he's on holidays!).

ROA producers are not good at making official announcements or engaging with their fans in any way (e.g. on their Facebook or twitter).

Oli will have been in the show for over a year when he leaves. It's cast change day, some other cast are leaving too. ROA has taken a massive toll on his voice. As much as I love his Drew, I think he's made the right decision to leave.

Looking forward to finding out who the real new Drew is! :D

And can this thread be merged into the ROA thread? It really doesn't need it's own separate thread!

Exactly. How are kids meant to know if their parents don't teach them and lead by good example? And a quick telling off/informing the offender that they're being a nuisance usually works wonders.

Nope, this poster is a serial spammer. Not only spams on here but on all the Facebook forums too. Have reported him/her to Facebook for spamming and blocked his/her posts. Sad really! :(

Probably wise to do that given as it's during the jubilee celebrations. You will love it. It's an amazing show. Mind blowing really! :)
