Saw this yesterday and was completely blown away!
Fully deserving of it's Olivier haul, especially Luke Treadaway whose performance was complete and flawless.
I was surprised by just how closely the play sticks to the book - you're really drawn into Christopher's mind and thought processes.
We sat in the £12 balcony seats and I think they were okay value for money. The main 'restriction' of the view actually came from the heads of the people sat in front as, being so high up, you inevitably get a domino effect of people leaning forward. I'd never been to the Apollo before and I have to say, now I've experienced it, it's not my favourite of theatres! The seats creak terribly! plus the staff are a bit useless...
Anyway, I'd love to see the play again from a closer perspective!

Yesterday at the matinee of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time the man directly in front of me decided to get up (rather noisily due to the creaky Apollo seats) and go to the toilet during the quietest scene in the whole play, completely ruining the atmosphere. It was only about 5 minutes before the interval and he returned to his seat just before the lights went up. I don't know why he couldn't have waited for a more appropriate time to make his way back to his seat.
There was also a group of teenagers behind us who giggled throughout the whole play

It's so great to see all the rave reviews from people who've seen this production!
I'm lucky enough to be seeing it again on Saturday (the perks of living in Leicester!), I just couldn't pass up the opportunity!
It truly is one of the best productions, with some of the best performances I've seen.
