I saw Bull a couple of times this week whilst visiting family in Sheffield. The premiere of a new Mike Bartlett play starring Adam James could not be missed and I was not disappointed. Although only 50 minutes in length, this play is certainly very current, intense, filled with sharp dialogue and excellent performances from all four actors.
There are certainly elements in the behaviour here that were recognisable from office interactions that I've come across or heard about (although this was a heightened form). The set certainly works for the gladiatorial nature of the piece and it's interesting to note how you and those around you grow more and more uncomfortable by the treatment of Sam Troughton's character as the time passes. Definitely worth a visit if you have the opportunity.
