The 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival marks the start of a revolution in theatregoing. The Theatre Ninjas website and partner Iphone App allows theatre makers to offer up last minute free tickets for their shows; filling their house, developing new audiences and encouraging word of mouth publicity. For the punter it’s a chance to save some cash, fill their days at the Festival and try something a bit unexpected. The Ninja network is set to become a hub of free ticket sharing and arts appreciation for the cash-strapped recession generation; supporting fringe artists to have their voices seen and heard.
