In Topic: Newsies Coming To London?!?

I honestly think Tarzan could do well here but it needs the same production they had in Germany! I pray someday I'll be able to see Tarzan and TLM in London as I honestly love the music for both musicals. I like the music for Newsies as well and I think it'll take a bit for word to get around about it but I could see it doing well in London with the right theatre (Adelphi, Victoria, Savoy is too small imo)

Dissapointed a video bootleg never came from the show as I never got a chance to see it before it closed. Not a huge fan of the musical at all but I still wish I could have seen it, maybe this version would have changed my mind

Seen the production last night in Dublin. Cant think of the names of the actors but Velma was great! Roxie, took me a while to warm to her. Great acting but her singing really wasn't that good. Duncan James was surprisingly good and really was the part. Mama Morton was grand. I'd only seen the movie before and it only occured to me last night how small of a part she is. Ensemble were fantastic as were the band! Really happy I saw the production, the fact that its such a small show as well proves that with the right music, dancing and book you can have a hit. Grand canal was almost a full house and the shows coming to the end of the Dublin run so I'd say they'd a nice run there.  4 out of 5 stars!

Wicked is not closing and is showing no signs of closing! Wicked is still one of the biggest shows in the Westend and will be for a long time yet. The music and production is enough to keep it running for a long time yet so stop starting rumours

I really don't know if it's down to seating.. I was in the first few rows of the Grand Circle and I'd a fine view of the stage and everything but I just didnt enjoy it all that much! BUT to be fair, my friend went again 2 weeks later (She didnt enjoy it at all the first time) and she loved it the second! she said their was a new cast and it was just a whole new show! Must have just been down to a tired cast who were coming to the end of their contracts! Still, I dont think its fair if people are being big bucks to a show that they get let down by a tired cast, its their job to entertain..
