Oh, Baz! Maybe he is also a fan of Charles Edwards' lovely, lovely hair and it was wishful thinking on his part.

Transfers to the Aldwych in September for a 16 week run.
Wonderful news. I've seen this play 4 times now and I may have to see it in this venue too (I have an obsessive personality)
I assume Charles Edwards and his lovely, lovely hair won't be in this run as he is doing Strange Interlude at the National?

I went because *whisper* I've never got the Dame Judi love. I'm afraid after seeing this I still don't. She was good, as was Ben Whishaw and Derek Riddell, but not exceptional. I sense, at 25, I have missed her best.
I paid £12 for really awful seats as well, so I missed anything that happened on the right hand side (which is maybe where it got exceptional).
It was just a very meh play considering the actors and the subject. I feel like the subject of Alice was done far better by Dennis Potter's TV and film adaptations of her story and like they were holding back about the subjects. Either through fear of being sued by estates or because there wasn't much to tell.

I feel bad for questionning his choice in new plays at the National. He turned down one new play once and regretted it forever http://www.guardian....portrait-artist

Forgot about 8.30 booking period (The BFI have the decency to appreciate I am not fully awake until thier 11.30 booking opening) and there are absolutely no Entry Pass seats! Hoping this is a staging issue rather than missed my chance.
