Thank you danieldabell, that's awesome! I'm very happy they have the new subway scene as well. The switch between side and rear view was stunning!

The rumour was the Hairspray tour was going in at the end of the year as a filler before the X Factor musical.

The Palladium is far too big for HAIRSPRAY, silly.

Day ticket prices are no more than pretty much any show in London, £25 isn't a lot for a show, especially one as full of talent as this is!

I agree! £25 for a first-rate show.  Think people forget that this isn't at the NT or the Court and therefore cant afford to have really cheap tickets.

It needed a star
if it had a star then it would rely on a star to maintain it.  look at the list of long running musicals - no stars. star casting is dangerous for a musical.  i also think it degrades the piece - let the show be the star.

I went last week - got the cheapest seats at the back of the circle - i must admit i was a little worried - but the prince of wales is such a good theatre.  i had no complaints about my view.  even at the back its such an intimate theatre and there isnt a restricted view in the house.  i actually think those seats are the best value.  you can pay the same price for other musicals and sit in the heavens with a strained neck.

as for the show....wow. boy does it live up to the hype.  i've just booked again for august in the same seats.
