About the only time I can recall finding one genuinely funny was the Porter in the Chichester (Gould/Stewart) Macbeth.

Stephen Noonan was an excellent Porter in the Doran 'Macbeth' (with Sher and Walter) - admittedly some years ago now.

Oliver Ford Davies is also in the cast, presumably as Gloucester.

Or John of Gaunt?

My guess would be that Jonathan Slinger will play Parolles.

The phrase 'Cast includes Jonathan Slinger' made me think 'You don't say?' - on the basis of recent RSC policy it would be far more worthy of note if it said 'Cast DOESN'T include Jonathan Slinger'.
