How about having something like this printed in luminous glow-in-the-dark lettering?

"YOU HAVE RECEIVED THIS CARD BECAUSE YOU ARE TALKING OR OTHERWISE CAUSING A NUISANCE TO YOUR FELLOW THEATRE GOERS. PLEASE RESPECT THE REST OF THE AUDIENCE AND REMAIN SILENT DURING THE PERFORMANCE. THANK YOU."

And leaving it on their battered corpse as a warning to others? I like it.

Sheridan Smith

They could rename it Regally Blonde

Perhaps it is undocumented that Lincoln took off his shoes in his box and desribed everything to Mary Todd as the show went along.  Booth wasn't political, he was just a bit miffed.  A bit like Richard Griffiths when a phone goes off, but with more firepower and a greater historial impact.

Amused to read in today's Guardian that Danny Boyle's original plan for the Olympics opening ceremony was for the Queen to be played by Helen Mirren - they only approached the Palace for permission to impersonate the Queen and were somewhat surprised to get the response that not only was this fine but the Queen would like to do it herself!

So maybe she'd be up for taking over the role for the transfer?

Playing twins, presumably. Only their mother can tell them apart.

Great stuff, does that mean you will get rid of the massive pop-up advert that comes up every time I load the homepage so I can't read it?

If he sorts out the loos he can have an honourary knighthood in my opinion!

Snow falls and settles across the land and day and night temperatures hover around freezing point for days, but those expert RSC meteorologists start their Summer Season performances in six days' time.

I saw this yesterday in a 1/4 full auditorium. I've never seen the Olivier so empty. I was willing to give this production the benefit of doubt but unfortunately it really is bad. Felt as sorry for the cast as I did for the audience. Also I think John Inman would have made a more menacing Enrico.

I think he was skeptical, but he went to see Sooty In Space the other day and realised it actually could work. In other news, Soo has been offered the lead in the Polish play about abortions in the Royal Court Upstairs.

In thunder, lightning, or in rain?     Translation : Manchester
When the hurlyburly ’s done,
When the battle ’s lost and won.    Translatiom : When we have captured tickets

I've heard it's a two hander - Helen Mirren and Mike Yarwood

I liked it too but then most of the play is director proof, isn't it? Talk about the dark side. That black bin liner wrapped body hauled up was a bit much. In days of yore I would have chosen this to take the kiddies to but this one would have taken a bit more explanation than usual and plenty of hot milk before bedtime. So ok it is for the grown ups.
Dromios good, but come on, one Antipholus was a foot shorter than the other. I suspended my whatsaname but still thought it was silly.
I didn't catch Twelfth Night but did see The Tempest. Too much iron work, can we move on from the industrial concept now please?
