Just seen that The Importance is going to be on again at Jermyn Street. It's such a fantastic play, and it seems a while since there was a production in London. Was it the Patricia Routledge one, I think at the Savoy? I didn't see it, but I imagine she'd have made a great Lady Bracknell.

have to scour my programmes but I think TIOBE was at the Savoy. I DO remember Patricia Routledge as Lady Bracknell, and though she played the part brilliantly, every actress has the shadow of Edith Evans hovering in the wings. The definitive Lady!
