For the ending I could see Glinda alone in a nightgown on an emerald city castle balcony with the hat singing her lines in the final with Elphaba looking down at her from her broom with Fiyero on the back. They talk about never letting anyone know and a shit Glinda turning round as if to hear something. She looks but there is nothing there so she exits the balcony. The last shot we see is Elphaba flying past the moon as the ensemble and a fade to black.

Well, ish.
Universal bought the rights to a film of the book - however they were struggling to find a way of making the book work on film (at the script-writing stage).
Interesting. I was at Universal Studios a few weeks back and a poster of Wicked was on the side of one of the sound studios. But not mentioning a film, just one for the stage version..

Wicked is Universal's biggest non-film property and the money it's made is on par with other blockbuster musicals like Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom etc

What version of the show do you all like best the English, German, Austraillian or US etc. I favour the West End most it just feels like there is a sense of seriousness to it missing in the others and the pace flows amazingly. Not to say the other casts aren't unique West End seems more emotionally driven when America seems to play more with the comedy aspect and really does some great physical comedy. From what I have gathered about the Austrailian Wicked they act in the American accent but the audience tend to be more like the West End. Do you think different culture interpret it differently?

Not sure how believable this is, but a friend told me that a friend told her (No idea if this friend is anything to do with theatre) that Wicked is planning a move from the Apollo Victoria to make way for I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Musical! I Really do hope to god this isn't true!!!

I doubt it's true given that I Dreamed a Dream would die a death at that theatre. Wicked's a big show, there aren't that many theatres in London that could hold it without downsizing it dramatically.

That was my thought, and it would be a really bad idea for ATG as i don't imagine I Dreamed A Dream, or many other new shows coming soon could fill it as successfully as Wicked!

i would think I dreamed a dream would die a death at most West End theatres and certainly wouldn't need a big one. ATG look as if they are being quite conservative even with Viva Forever - putting it somewhere thats not that big.
