Andrew Buchan (from Party Animals on BBC2) and Lucy Briers in a new play directed by Toby Frow whose Beautiful Thing at Sound was one of my highlights last year.
Most impressively, Andrew Bovell, the writer, wrote STRICTLY BALLROOM! And something called Lantana.
One to check out, I reckon.
Did Theatre 503 use to be called the Latchmere?

Yes I think it was the Latchmere. I did consider this play - may revisit that partly as I'm trying to go to as many fringe venues as possible and haven't been to this one yet.
Haven't seen Strictly Ballroom, didn't really appeal to me. Lantana was supposedly a crime thriller, I remember it got rave reviews when it came out but I missed it. Then I started watching it on TV last year, waited about 45 mins for something to happen (it didn't) and gave up.

It's worth borrowing a video or DVD of this film because like sleeper-hit 'The Shawshank Redemption', you'll enjoy discovering a good film that passed beneath your radar when it was first released. It's a crime thriller but it's also about relationships.

I saw Beautiful Thing and thought it was really wonderful. If that was because of Toby Frow, then it's enough of a reason to see this. If it wasn't, I'm stopping home.
Isn't Party Animals that political thing with the guy from The Office?
