Just a quick note to say I managed to catch a performance of this last night at the lovely Tabard Theatre, above the pub by Turnham Green. It finishes on Sunday, so you'll have to get your skates on, but I loved it.
Excellent and imaginative production of the stalwart G&S. Set in a golf club (so it worked in creating a world with ridiculous rules to follow), and beautifully designed. So well played by a very hard-working cast of 8, especially Yum-Yum (done a bit more innocent, and yet growing in confidence as she went along, with a beautiful voice) and Pooh-Bah, who also had a tremendous voice, but also got every single joke spot on.
Highly recommended.

I wouldn't say a word that could be reckoned as injurious,
But to find a mother younger than her son is very curious,
And that's the kind of mother that is usually spurious.
