The hot gossip on Twitter seems to be that Shrek will be taking residence at the Palace. Priscilla is certainly losing a battle with the audience numbers at the moment. And whoever thought that a Sunday matinee was a good idea seems to have put a nail in the coffin lid.

Am I the only one who's not excited about 'Shrek The Musical'? I mean, I've never seen it, but from clips online... it doesn't look like something I'd be interested in.
I've heard 'Addams Family The Musical's meant to be really good
I'd love to see that.

So if shrek is going to the Palace, Ghost isn't.
Also if shrek is going into the palace, it will be scaled down from the original broadway production. Interesting to here that an assistant director was added to the creative team on the recent US tour and apprently there saying they 'have got it right this time'. So possibly a design similar to the tour and script and music changes included in the tour as well.

Yeah, they did mention that new songs were being written and that it would be a slightly different production so maybe it will be a scaled down version that comes over here, or maybe just a new set!

Well if shrek is lined up for the Palace (which makes sence if its getting a set based on the tour design) That then free's up Druly Lane if Oliver ending its run in March 2011 is true.

Addams Family would work brilliantly at Drury Lane, as much as I love Oliver! (I've seen it 4 times) I would really love to see Addams Family.
From what I hear it has a big set as well, so would work in drury lane!
.....Now the ideal cast

Saw Shrek in NYC and its one of the worst shows ive seen in recent years, was just dull! Its a thin story stretched over 2.5 hours

Yeah, it playing at one of the bigger broadway houses, and the set is supposed to be large and brilliant. Druly Lane would be ideal for it!
