Little Mermaid - I just don't think the Shrek score is very good.

Shrek is actually very very very funny, and MUCH better show than Little Mermaid- which is honestly horrendous. Its such a badly put together show Disney should be ashamed.... the stage show at Disneyworld is 10000% times better!!

They're building a new one at MK though so I can see that one going once the new one has been constructed.

I answer to the question: I liked to see both lol.

I don't really have any interest in Shrek, think the films are very overrated and quite honestly nowhere near as funny as people seem to think. They just kind of bored me.
The Little Mermaid is probably my favourite Disney movie of all time, and I really love some of the songs from the Broadway soundtrack (If Only is gorgeous, and That Voice (??? Is that what its called?) is beautiful too) but from clips and photos I've seen, it looks a little poor.
Sure one of them, if not both, will reside in the West End at some point.

I've been trawling the internet for clues- one theory is that Little Mermaid will replace The Lion King .
I remember seeing Kim Criswell sing as Ursula at the WOS Awrds earlier this year- perhaps that is significant- who knows- but then again Jimmy Johnston sang a number from Shrek.

If the transfer is imminent potential cast members will be  presuambly going to auditions and workshops, so unless they are sworn to secrecy- we wont find out yet. Having said that  I think professionals often come on here as anonymous guests so this forum will probably be one of the first to know.

By the way, I don't think it is fair to criticise posters spelling or grammar or typing errors. Not only do people's
educational experience and opportunities vary , there are also people with dyslexia or English as a second ( or third etc) language who may post.

In the case of the latter-in the words of Avenue Q...........How many languages do you speak?...........
I know I could be a lion tamer,
I've always gotten along with cats

I speak English! I also speak Sense of Humour, and don't understand why everyone insists on getting so up in arms whenever there's a gentle bit of ribbing. It's not like Bob said "OMG YOU'RE A COMPLETE MORON YOU CAN'T SPELL" or anything, which genuinely would have been COMPLETELY out of order. It's people being quick to take offence that make other people so unwilling to be friendly, because you never know how your words are going to be misconstrued. sad.gif

It took me a while to get around to seeing (the film) Shrek, and when I did my reaction was much the same as it is to most Dreamworks animations: What the hell was the point of that? The ending of the film is one of the clunkiest I've ever seen, and it's so obvious how it's going to turn out that I can't understand why anyone bothered. If I'd created something like that I'd be ashamed to let anyone else see it.

This sums up my opinion of Dreamworks.
Huzzah!
