Should be announced soon. Any idea on venues ?! Will it follow the wicked tour ?!

Billy is going in tour in 2014/15 too. Great time to see shows out side west end!!

I reckon Shrek would do well on tour, wonder if it'll be long runs or just week or two week runs in each theatre, I think the West End set was based on the US tour set so it'll probably be very similar in designs with maybe some small changes,

The Billy Elliot UK tour has been mentioned in other threads. That I imagine will be fairly popular but I guess that means the London production will announce its closure.

Venues for both the Shrek and Billy Elliot tours are booked, both running 2014/15 if my memory serves me correctly.  I would imagine that they will be announced in due course!

The only things I can't imagine it doing is having the bridge unfold from the ground, and the Dragon flying around the audience, (maybe Donkey falling from the ceiling into the pit might work depending on the theatre)

The US tour has actually been downsized even more now, especially scenes such as Morning Person, and looks even cheaper...I wouldnt be surprised if thats what we get.

theatres dont usually like to schedule similar shows after eachother (e.g a family show straight after panto) if they can help it so im not sure if shrek would follow wicked as they are similar markets. plus i suspect shrek might do shorter runs than wicked.

the flying dragon might be possible to do on tour

I thought the same initially with regards to the scheduling, however I know for one of the venues, Shrek will be the next major show to follow their panto.
