Just been told by a box office bod who no doubt had a straight face at the time that he can't issue me new exchanged tix until they have the old ones in their possession as 'the tickets are the property of the theatre'. Why [ o why] can't they issue tickets so that you don't have to do this? I resent the stamp!

It was the Noel Coward actually - I was changing my Judi Dench tix. So two nice tix for Sat 9th March should be available......

It's more that they can't risk cancelled tickets floating about, so why not say that?

There is some antiquated stuff in booking offices. Some don't have credit card readers so they have to type in the card detail's manually. Yes Prince of Wales I'm looking at you.

for everyone who swears that, there's the dishonest a**hat who then lists them on Ebay. That's why the tickets have to be returned to the box office before they can be exchanged. It's fair enough, I think. You could always have your tickets held at the box office for everything and save the aggro of needing to return them?

I presumed its a hat for ones a** but I'm not sure how it would stay on unless your a** is a very odd shape
