I saw this last night and cannot decide for the life of me what I actually thought of it....some bits (as Lepage shows often are) were in the realm of films such as Babel and Crash, with lots of different story strands to tantalise....but I think in the end it totally lost focus and was FAR too long....2h 30m with NO INTERVAL.....So I am still undecided!

I read somewhere that the first production of this was over 3 hours with no interval so you got away lightly!

It was not really that technically impressive at all....it reminded me of a much much less lavish version of Britney Spears Circus Tour (!)

Lepage's Ring Cycle at the New York Met was apparently a bit rubbish too - wonder what Britney's approach to Wagner would be?

I was initially tempted to see this but everything I've read about it makes me less keen

It's spellbinding.  David Lynch meets Magnolia.  Completely held me throughout and could easily have sat there for another hour (bladder permitting).  Can't wait for HEARTS.
