Forgot about 8.30 booking period (The BFI have the decency to appreciate I am not fully awake until thier 11.30 booking opening) and there are absolutely no Entry Pass seats! Hoping this is a staging issue rather than missed my chance.
I missed out as well, sad times indeed.

All dates are now showing as sold-out apart from the matinee on 6 July. Considering public booking doesn't even open until tomorrow, that is truly astonishing.

Only 30 performances on sale at the moment though. It'll extend to the end of September.

Not really, a lot of NT productions are like this. Advance membership (lowest level) is a waste of time too as there are never any decent tickets left. I now rely on returns but it makes things difficult to plan.

According to the NT website:

Ticket Information

Performances of Othello from 16 Apr - 6 Jul are now Sold Out except for Day Tickets and possible returns.

So this does indeed seem to have sold out before public booking!!

I'm guessing they held quite a few back for schools/colleges, especially with exam season on its way. If its on until September then it should be much easier to get tickets.

There are still tickets available for quite a few dates via amex preferred seating - surprised they haven't put these on general sale now the priority booking window is over. To pick a random example for the evening of Sat 15th June there are 3 seats in the stalls and 22 in the circle.

The Amex seats are held back even well into public sale. I managed to get a friend a couple of really good stalls seats for the fully sold out Lyttelton run of One Man, Two Guvnors back in 2011, well after the reviews came out. It seems odd and exclusive, but I guess it's part of their sponsorship deal.
