The postponed Tori Amos musical, The Light Princess, will premiere in the Lyttelton this October. Rosalie Craig and Clive Rowe are in the cast, dir Marianne Elliot.
The brilliant Anne-Marie Duff and Charles Edwards will star in O'Neill's Strange Interlude, dir Simon Godwin, in the Lyttelton, from June.
Bijan Sheibani has a chance to redeem himself after Damned by Despair, by staging Emily and The Detectives in the Olivier from November.
Richard Eyre directs Pirandello's Liola, and Melly Still directs From Morning to Midnight.
Rufus Norris stages James Baldwin's The Amen Corner starring Sharon D Clarke.
And of course Marlowe's Edward II with John Heffernan in the Olivier from September.
And the Xmas kids show will be The Elaphantom in The Shed, dir Marianne Elliot.
So, what do we think?

All looks very appetizing, and good to get concrete info on SRB's Lear - with all his talk about being unemployed from March, I was starting to fear he was thinking about retiring!
I assume Othello is planned for the first half of this year as well?
Interesting about Bijan Sheibani - I may book for it just to see what happens; I don't necessarily mind a turkey.

Any chance NT will be screening Othello, Edward II and The Light Princess?
My reviews can also be found at "Shall I Compare a Play to a Full Price?"

NT Live for Othello in September, and I presume they'll be doing the others you mention too, though this has not yet been confirmed.

They're giving Bijan Sheibani the big Christmas show? Wow. Just Wow.
Is Strange Interlude the one where they put masks on to show their inner feelings?

When is the next booking period? Othello and Gorky's Children of the Sun are on the website but no indication of when members or public booking opens? Has it been a while since Richard Eyre was at the National. I loved Last of the Duchess and after reading National Service I wondered why he didn't make regular returns to direct (always seems fond of Hytner)
LOVE Charles Edwards and Anne-Marie Duff. I will be logging in at 8.30am for that. I can't look beyond September as I am not sure I will be in London but may be worth booking for Edward II while I still have my Entry Pass!

Public is 15th Feb I believe.
Eyre was last at the NT for Welcome to Thebes in 2010 (I think), but he works regularly elsewhere: The Last of the Duchess at the Hampstead, Betty Blue Eyes at the Novello, The Dark Earth and the Light Sky at the Almeida and the current Quartermaine's Terms at the Wyndham's are his most recent productions.
