What is the research for?

Hi,

The research is for my BA dissertation.
I'm sudying at London College of Communication.

I did your survey to try to be helpful but as with many surveys we see on this site it is too general. I could not specify which performances I could refer to. The use of digital etc is a very broad definition to deal with. You could use the Mitchell shows we tend to find 'difficult' as with her use of a video camera on stage with the actors almost invisible or you could talk about the back drops of moving image often quite effective. There are many other in between uses of techno stuff on stage. And what about sound?
So maybe design a more production specific survey. I am guessing you haven't actually seen much theatre or you would have used stuff you've seen. Just fiddling about with statistics doth not a dissertation make. Or maybe it does.

This survey is just a part of the primary research. I also use other primary research methods, as well as a secondary research, so my work won't be based only on statistics. Statistics will support information about the audience experience, which is a subchapter in one of the chapters.

Sorry, didn't get beyond the surprising appearance of the word "convergency" in the title.

I expect I'm in a minority but I thought the best use of video in theatre I have seen was the last scene in the Rupert Goold "Time and the Conways" because it actually illuminated the play rather than just decorating it.
