Personally I think spamalot is fine for a 9 year old, there is no really rude bits. It's s very silly story which I am sure they will love , very colourful sets and it is quite short which is always a plus with kids!

Yes, I think so although a bit of Monty Python knowledge helps so some of the humour may go over their head. Still plenty to amuse though.
