interesting! I saw Damian networking at the NT when I went to see The Magistrate, I just happened to be there the night where all the supporters of the theatre get a free ticket and reception. I'm assuming he was networking, he could have just been going to see the play, it did get me thinking about him looking for a london role. If Brannagh and Mcavoy weren't already on it I'd have suggested he go for a Macbeth with a super sexy Lena Headey (who was also at the NT) as Lady Mac. It would be great to have him in a musical, they should do Company and cast him as Bobby and Mandy Patinkin as Larry. Although. back on topic, Me and My Girl would be fun, I wonder if it might have dated a bit too much though, may not get the riotous reception it did with Robert Lindsay in 1980s, was that the last west end revival?

i love the show but i just dont find Damian has any charm as an actor, and bill needs to be endearing. still will be interesting if it comes off. its a great show and the old fashioned shows seek to be doing well at the moment, its great escapism which a lot of people need at the moment

I like Damian Lewis but he's not who I envision as Bill, wonder what theatres they are looking at if the production goes ahead.

I'm guessing you either referring to The Victoria Palace where it did start back in 1937, The Lyric seems too small for a show like Me and My Girl.

I loved this programme, an 80's tv classic. Although I am not sure Damian Lewis has the charm to play the Richard O'Sullivan role?
