Excellent! Hytner has obviously got over his musical phobia.

Is this not a little too soon after The Curve's production?
This is my street, I smile at the faces I've known all my life, They regard me with pride.

This from Wikipedia:
2013 Chichester Festival Theatre revival
Imelda Staunton will star as Rose in Chichester Festival Theatre's production of Gypsy in the fall of 2013. The production will be directed by Jonathan Kent. Both Staunton and Kent worked on the 2011/2012 Chichester production of Sweeney Todd which transferred to London's West End in March 2012. Because of refurbishment to the Chichester main theatre venue, Gypsy is expected to either open in London or another regional theatre.[40]
Eh???????

Chichester has long been the rumoured venue for the Imelda production, there was also another rumour of the National Theatre doing a version but the two were never linked before. Still not sold on Imelda in the role but either way good news

It should be confirmed in Hytner's annual press conference towards the end of this month.

Is it? Why? Do many Londoners go to Leicester? There hasn't been a professional London production since the 1970s I think so I'd say this is very overdue.
