Super little production. If you need an antidote to this season of cheer, then check out this piece nicely 'rewritten' by Conor Mc Pherson. He allows for redemption as he always does in his own work. Not sure Strindberg would have. But beautifully acted, set and directed. A cracker, so to speak.

I was there too - you weren't the furious-looking guy who stalked out across the stage in the middle of the first half were you !

While the McKellen/de la Tour version clearly prefigured "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" this one prefigured "George and Mildred" - good knockabout fun for the pantomime season. Entertaining.

Indira Varma looked way to young for the part but now I check it she isn't. She should play Hedda Gabler, she reminded me of a young Deborah Findlay.

No, that wasn't me but I was sitting close to him and his delightful lady friend (who was clutching a roll- up fag throughout the first act ready for easy access in the interval)

His parting shot before marching across the stage was "if I don't get out soon I'm going to f***ing p*ss myself"
