As you can see at the top of the page, Tasmin Carrol's name is billed alongside Christopher's. I can only assume she be playing Barnum's wife (having not seen the show or know anything about the man). Isn't shown anywhere else and no other cast has been announced yet.

Not very excited by that piece of casting at all if she is playing Barnums wife...

It was not a large role in the original show....but I understand CM has had a hand in re-writing so the "new" show could have a different emphasis.

It's the largest female role.  Glenn Close in the original cast.

So pleased that Tamsin Carroll is getting a leading role in a musical.  She was excellent in both of last year's shows at the Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park (Emma Goldman in Ragtime, Titania in AMSND) and was woefully underused in the frivolously awful production of The Magistrate.  At least Sheader has recognised her talent.
