I know there is a thread on Bodyguard and I mentioned it there too, but thought this might get peoples attention who dont read through whole threads all the time for fear of spoilers. This has recently gone up on the website
I do think this is very very poor on their front not to have her do at least one matinee.
The producers of The Bodyguard cannot guarantee the appearance of any particular artist, which is always subject to illness and holidays. Heather Headley is expected to appear at all evening performances excluding Monday 21- Wednesday 23 January inclusive and Monday 18 - Saturday 23 March inclusive. Gloria Onitiri will perform the role of Rachel Marron at all Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances.

I saw Gloria Onitira perform the role. She was absolutely sensational too. The show is in safe hands with either of them.

Fair enough, I haven't seen the show yet so I didn't realise it was so demanding!

It is irritating though that these announcements are always made after the show has opened. Given that the majority of pre opening publicity centred around Heather, anyone pre booking matinees to see her will now be disappointed. It was the same with Evita, i missed out on Elena Roger due to the schedule being released after opening - by then my ticket was booked.

a lot of groups see matinees too so to not have the star do any is pretty poor
