I went to see something (Not very memorable) at the Union and vowed never to return until they
a) did something about the seating and
cleaned the mold growing in the gents toilet.
Chess is one of my fav musicals and I fear for it in this venue to be honest.

Broadway has been very good to me. But then, I've been very good to broadway.

i do agree with you. although the classical aspect of the score is quite difficult to sing. Tim Rice didn't like the cutting of the classical stuff on Broadway. So do you cast triple threat's or have a dancing cast and a singing cast? it's really difficult especially in such a tiny, low budget space like the Union Theatre
Still i can wait to see it

Surely this is a singers' show if there ever was one. That's why it works so well in concert form. Where is the dancing apart from One Night In Bangkok?

Agreed, Seriously. I see a large dance (or maybe more movement / physical) aspect due to the way characters are maninupluated / played against each other
