More Rattigan, keeping up the classic revivals at the OV.

Opens March 2013, for a 2 month run.

Doesn't seem long since I saw the previous (and most recent, so far as I know) production at the Rose in Kingston, which I still recall with pleasure and which seemed to me the definitive version.  I'll be interested to read reviews of the OV one but even if they're good, I might have to sacrifice seeing theirs in favour of something completely new.  Anyone else here see catch the earlier production at the Rose or on tour?

Excellent news!

Didn't see the Rose Kingston version - it was May 2009 so will be almost 4 years between that and the Old Vic version. I've a feeling there was a touring version more recently.

I'm shocked to hear that the Rose version was nearly 4 years ago, which is about twice as long as I imagined - but that's what age does for you!  At that stage I'd never come across Adrian Lukis before but he made a huge impression on me and I've looked out for him in things ever since.

Lindsay Posner.  Probably as traditional as the recent Old Vic prods have been.
