Judging from twitter yesterday and today it's pretty clear who is in the cast lets just hope an official announcement is made this week

Why not? A box office name  - the show will need it - and he clearly can "deliver" as he had excellent reviews for Cabaret and indeed a WOS award! The staging made this show in the WE and if it is "simplified" for the tour the show will need all the help it can get!

I just cant see him as sam, personal opinion, im sure he would (will) be great but not my choice.

will was great as emcee but he is not a sam. yes he will draw the crowds but there is a chance that all the women who loved the movie and patrick swayze will laugh at the casting of will and say no way. there was a huge backlash with the first dirty dancing tour and the lead guy not being manly enough for that role.
