Thought this was OK but I agree with HG's reservations. It was far too long and I found the second half a bit of a marathon. I'm sure I read a review of the 2009 Tokyo production which said it was 2 and a half hours - I'd love to see that version! Bit worried about Wolf Hall /Bring up the Bodies now, since I suspect they will be exactly the same as this with fewer Japanese people.

The design was great, and I'm pleased to see Stephen Boxer has restored "Mooncat and Co" to it's well deserved prominent place in his CV (although I think he is wrong to say Beryl Reid was in it - she was in the original series "Get Up and Go", it was renamed "Mooncat and Co" when she left)

Wasn't this a tv movie with Richard Chamberlain? That sounds a lot more fun...
