If Richard II is scheduled for the shorter "Winter" (Oct to Jan) season, I guess it could easily also be flipped to London, perhaps in the "Summer" (Jan to Mar).

The summer brochure does show that the productions are scheduled to be in the RST until September, whilst the remaining shows finish their runs in the Swan during October. Richard II would have to be in The Courtyard Theatre or London during the summer, or else it wont be expected until at least October

I would imagine Doran would save this for his first season to start with a (probable) hot ticket

Seven weeks late, I've just seen the news that the RSC has been granted planning permission to keep the Courtyard Theatre and develop it internally, to include a new larger studio theatre which will inherit the name of The Other Place. Fantastic news! All that's now needed is the money for this final Stratford redevelopment. I'm looking forward to Erica Whyman's first season. http://www.stratford...ford-50939.html

On the RSC website, search for "The New TOP".

I am even more hopeful that this rumour is true after the weekend. At an event on Sunday I said to David could he please do some more theatre soon, to which he replied Okay and then, with a smile, "watch this space". Also when asked by someone if anything was coming up on stage he intimated that he hoped something would be happening in the not too distant future but we'd have to see.
Nothing concrete I know but knowing about this rumour already makes me hope something will come of it!

So Richard II is transferring to the Barbican ? Words fail me - what exactly was the last decade all about then ?
Good news (for me) they will stage all the plays over 5 years with no repeats.
