I also love 'Man Behind the Mask' from Zorro. Such an underated show that I thoroughly enjoyed. It deserved to do better. Look up tht song if you don't know it, it's beautiful.

I loved that show too. And I don't think the recording does it justice.

Tell me its not True from Blood Brothers.
Possibly the best ending ever of a musical, gets me everytime.

Closely followed by - Defying Gravity from the brilliant Wicked, One Day More from Les Mis and Electricity from Billy Elliott.

For shear perfection of words and dots it has to be  "Something Wonderful" from the King and I, but I recently heard a song from the musical Benjamin, sung by Benjamin Franklyn's wife to her godson, and I was very moved by the performance and the song on Friday Night is Music Night.

I had trouble cutting it down to ten, and I didn't quite manage it because there are too many different reasons to love them. In no particular order, and with no more than one from each show:

Waltz for a Ball (Cinderella)
Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered (Pal Joey)
Send in the Clowns (A Little Night Music)
Way Out West (Babes In Arms)
The Nuttycracker Suite (Thoroughly Modern Millie)
The Ballet (Carousel)
On The S.S. Bernard Cohn (On A Clear Day You Can See Forever)
High Flying, Adored (Evita)
Hungry Men (110 in the Shade)
Girl, You're a Woman (The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas)
Dancing With Alice (Drat! The Cat!)
Huzzah!

I have so many;
  • He Whistled At Me - Original Starlight Express
  • Naughty - Matilda (never actually seen it but I love this song)
  • One Vision - We Will Rock You
  • Harden My Heart/Shadows Of The Night - Rock Of Ages
  • Memory - Cats
  • Bustopher Jones - Cats
  • A Lotta Locomotion - Oringinal Starlight Express
I'll probably think of more later... :)
I love musicals. I have seen:
Cats (Woking Theatre), Joseph (Woking Theatre) Starlight Express 2006 UK tour (Woking) and 2012 UK tour (Wimbledon) Grease x 2 (Woking) Beauty and The Beast (Woking). So not actually seen that many, but I intend to change this! Was in the Joseph children's choir for 3 years running at Richmond, and Windsor twice - loved it and I miss it so much!

This is very hard to narrow down, but here are some of my favourites, other than those mentioned already.

This is the Moment - Jekyll and Hyde
Love Changes Everything - Aspects of Love
The Impossible Dream - Man of La Mancha
The Last Midnight - Into the Woods
Aquarius - Hair

Interestingly these are all from shows I have seen only once or not at all, rather than my favourite shows.
"Seek salvation in the place of living rock.
A bright bright star will show the way.
Go to where the champions played."
