I have now been told that first cover Frankie will be shared by Ben Jennings and Michael Watson.

Ooh, very interesting. So they effectively act as first and second cover interchangeably? Am thinking it's a move maybe because the two most recent first covers Tom and Dan often had trouble losing their voice and with illness?

I guess that's the reason, yes. It makes sense considering the part is vocally demanding and very few performers can sing the role several days in a row without problems.
