Hello everyone,

My first post on this website, don't know if it has been mentioned as yet but i know it it soon closing but this week the beautiful and talented Yvette Robinson last seen closing andrew Lloyd Webbers Woman In White! will start rehersals for Evita. With a original 1 year contract as alternate she will now play the last 6 weeks of performances on monday and thursday! Yvette has already played the role in Australia and as seen in the woman in white i'm sure she will make the west end her own again with her stunning vocals and amazing skills as a actress! and now i finaly have a reason to see the show, with an actress i can understand what shes singing and one that can actuley hit the notes, get me to the box office....

Thats brilliant, I saw Yvette as Marian in Woman in White and thought she was excellent. Mind you, Eva is a slightly different role to undertake, good luck to her if this is the case. She is a fantastic actress.

It is good news as the alternates have not been as good as they should be.
Let me assure you though, PLEASE do not take too much notice of the 'rushed recording' (recorded before the show even opened) Elena Rogers is absolutely outstanding in the role, her accent though strong has softened, she hits all the right notes, is an amazing actress and unlike any other production in London or touring does a Tango Routine during Buenos Aires that has never been done before, even the present alternates don't do it even now.

Whatever you do just enjoy the show but I'm sad when someone has a go without actually seeing the show!

So will this be the second show she's closed?  She might start getting a comical reputation

She's no Elena Roger, but I prefered her to Ruthie in Woman in White, She was understudy and then took over the role.
I hope she won't be overlooked.
Don't dream it..be it!

And that is why I think she will be amazing, who needs another Rogers? the show already has her. Give it something fresh, with a real talent and someone who is not affraid of bearing her soul on stage!

Seems funny to join a cast and be rehearsed for merely 12 performances, but work is work.  And I'd rather catch her than Abbie O...

So is Yvette to play the lead on TOUR?
(I THINK I read something about it planning to Tour?)
