You have to realise that a vast majority of ticket buyers especially in the regions only go to the theatre on occassion - so most WE names will be completely lost to them...to sell shows in 2000 seater venues in the regions you need household names...FACT! - west end not so much as majority of tickets actually get bought from non UK residents (eg tourists) and that shows with what shows sell and what doesn't.

Rent really isnt that big a name show in the UK, especially to regional theatre goers. im surprised they are doing it in the first place

Titan - are you serious? Rent has a huge regional following most regional AM Dram productions sold out...the tour I suspect will do relatively well!

So it appears Kerry IS playing Mimi. Can't see it all personally although it might be alright if I'm correct in thinking this is staged as an actual concert and not as the stage show.
Nikki Davis-Jones as Maureen and Rory Taylor as Roger.

I actually can't WAIT to see Nikki as Maureen. She'll be brilliant!

Nikki as Maureen sounds like great casting to me, and I think Leon Lopez will make a decent Collins. Not convinced about Kerry as Mimi though, I always imagine Mimi to be very young...

Leon Lopez's Collins was one of the highlights of Rent Remixed, so I'm pleased by his casting, not that I can make it to any of the dates/locations
