Beetlejuice would make an awesome musical! Could use the two Harry Belafonte songs plus I could just imagine a huge Tim Burton-y looking house maybe structured like the Mary Poppins house with loads of tricks and effects!

As for another film, I'd love to see Disney's Aladdin done on full scale, I've been watching the California theme park 45 minute version on YouTube and its just asking forth be expanded for Broadway/London!

Next To Normal is my #1 - The recording is powerful enough by itself so to see a full production would be an amazing experience!
I just wish a producer would have the balls to transfer it.

I love the idea of Clueless and Beetlejuice as musicals!!

Newsies, The Light in the Piazza, Anything Goes, Memphis.

A revival of Rent (done properly!)

And someone to take the great score to Chess and somehow make it into a decent overall production that's not far too long!

In The Heights!

Revivals on any Sondheim would be good. I'd specifically love to see Pacific Overtures at the National.

I wish Bridget Jones was happening...

TITANIC.

Back to the Future (part 1) ... that would be the most feasible out of the three to do. And I would LOVE it.

Be interested to see Catch me if you can, but not sure it did that well over the pond?

I've been personally fighting the corner for Next to Normal to turn up over here in some capacity for a while - no idea where it would go though (either as a revival of the Broadway production or as a new one).

Rent wouldn't go amiss either but I have less hope for that one.

I would give my left arm for something NEW and FRESH. Sure, some movies lend themselves more easily to adaption than others (I'm looking forward to Finding Neverland)  and I can think of a few movies I would love to see turned into a stage musical (Disney's Aladdin being one of them)  but more than anything I'd love to see more completely fresh works - something like "Book of Mormon" or "Next to Normal" (which wasn't my cup of tea really, too much hand-wringing and drama).

Having just seen the Evita revival on Broadway it struck me how masterfully this show was created - how sharp the lyrics were, how coherent the story and how daring it must have been to write a musical about a not very well known South American dictator's wife who only lasted for a few years.  I'm sure there are tons of similarly fascinating people around whose lives could be used for a show like this - either (somewhat) contemporary/of 20th century or historical people.
