So someone who keeps cats has booked for eight shows of Tennant's RII? How sweet.

Explain how you will know if it is any good unless you go? A while back someone on the forum ticked me off for waiting for reviews. But in any case, whose review would you rate? This board? The Evening Standard? Please enlighten me.
You can generally tell by the response on this board and the press if a production is v v good, average or bad. True, you can never really find out 'til you see it for yourself, but you always have an idea if it's a 5* knock out or just ok.

That "his" amuses me ... "his Doctor Who is some years ago and his Lear is still in the future ..."
How close has a Doctor Who got to major stage Lear? Sylvester McCoy was fool to Ian McKellen, as so memorably recounted in David Weston's book. But has a former Doctor given us his Lear?

Am distracted by his not quite beard I must admit, does it signal inner trauma?
What indicates deep inner turmoil, in real life and in fiction, is a person who has a beard but then shaves it off or vice versa. The examples are legion, Tiger Woods, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Joaquin Phoenix .....
